In the early days, a bodysuit and sleepsuit are the most practical option - but once you start to get out and about more, you'll want to show your little one off in cute, colourful and cosy clothes

Once you start to get out and about more, you’ll want to show your
little one off in cute, colourful clothes, especially as the weather
gets warmer.
At Mothercare you’ll find a range of gorgeous outfits
for your little one. All our clothing is soft and comfortable, simple to
get on and off, and easy to wash and dry. Ideally, you should wash
all her clothes in non-bio detergent before the first wear.
layered clothing
Whatever the season, layering is the best way to keep your baby at the
right temperature. If it’s a little cool, just pop a cardigan over her outfit.
baby's first booties
Correct footwear is vital for developing little feet. At this stage babies’ feet are soft cartilage instead of bone, and can easily mould to the shape of whatever they are in (even tight socks can restrict development). Pediatricians agree that bare feet are best, but you still need to keep tiny toes warm and protect delicate skin from grazes and infection.
Mothercare baby shoes are developed especially with this in mind. Our pram shoes have non-restrictive shapes to allow feet the freedom to grow and our baggies have a unique Toe Safe® design to prevent loose threads wrapping around toes.
